This presentation outlines the evolution of our Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) activities within Siemens AG over the past years, highlighting key challenges faced by the industry – regulations, market demands, and calculation standards. We will demonstrate how PEF transparency has become essential for maintaining market access. Our solution, the Green Digital Twin (GDT), enables large-scale LCA and EPD generation across our diverse product portfolio. With its user-friendly, highly automated SaaS approach, GDT stands out for its simplicity while remaining a powerful tool, making it accessible even for non-LCA experts. Beyond transparency, we are now entering a new phase – focusing on Eco-design and optimizing product environmental impacts.
